The platform gives investors access to tailored reinsurance portfolios focused on natural catastrophe business, supported by Hannover Re's underwriting expertise, modeling capabilities, and global market access.

Team Build-Out

The company has made several executive moves to put in place the leadership of the Hannover Re Capital Partners business unit. Michael Eberhardt, Hannover Re's Bermuda P&C leader, has taken on the CEO position, while Patrick Horstmann, Head of ILS, has become a Director of the new unit. Aaron García Ehrhardt has been confirmed as the Head of Capital & Underwriting at Hannover Re Capital Partners. The team build-out is ongoing, with new colleagues joining over the next few months.

Investment Opportunities

The platform is focused on providing investors with access to natural catastrophe business, with the goal of broadening the investor base and establishing structures that allow investors direct and efficient access to different strategies. The company is also hiring for a Senior Analyst, ILS to work in the Hannover Re Capital Partners unit in Bermuda, indicating that the team build is ongoing.
