Verisk promotes Harry White to lead PCS

Verisk has promoted Harry White to lead its Property Claim Services (PCS) business unit. The data analytics provider announced the move, which sees White taking charge of the unit that delivers independent industry-loss estimates for catastrophe and non-catastrophe events worldwide.

PCS data is critical for the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market. Its services support the triggers of many catastrophe bonds and industry-loss warranty (ILW) contracts.

Background and Experience

White has worked at Verisk for 16 years. He spent 14 years within Verisk and its AIR Worldwide catastrophe risk modelling unit. His roles there focused on catastrophe bonds and the ILS market. He moved to PCS as Head of Commercial Strategy in 2025.

Rob Newbold, president of Verisk Catastrophe and Risk Solutions, explained the rationale for the promotion. "Harry brings deep knowledge of financial markets and a strong understanding of how insurers and bond market participants use risk analytics to assess and manage risk," Newbold stated. He added that White's experience and client relationships position him to lead PCS into its next phase.

Career Path at Verisk

White's career at the company began in 2010 at AIR Worldwide in business development. He helped reinsurance clients, including ILS funds, adopt AIR's catastrophe models. By 2016, his role became solely focused on ILS securities. He worked on catastrophe bond risk analysis, offering circulars, and liaising with ILS fund managers regarding the AIR models.

He later became a Senior Manager for the Verisk Extreme Event Solutions team. There, he played a leading role in cat bond and ILS business development. This was prior to his move to the PCS unit almost two years ago.

Vision for PCS

In his new role, White will lead PCS as it delivers catastrophe loss information to support client and transactional needs. He is also tasked with evolving its capabilities across natural and specialty catastrophe events.

"PCS has earned the trust of global insurers, reinsurers and capital market participants by delivering timely, credible catastrophe loss information," White commented. He expressed excitement about building on that foundation to advance data and analytics for the market.

White is scheduled to speak at the Artemis London 2026 conference on September 1st.
